There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who breakfast, and those who don’t. I’m a breakfaster, a firm believer in breakfast being the most important meal of the day. We start our day with oats at least once a week. It seems we are not alone in our love of all things oat based. The infographic below from MOMA (who are known for Making Oats More Awesome) has some amazing breakfast statistics for National Breakfast Week this year. It seems like porridge is a firm weekday favourite.
I’m not going to waffle on about how this is the one meal you shouldn’t miss out on. I am going to tell you that there are so many different ways to eat breakfast no mater what your morning situation is. The Boy is a breakfast on the go kind of guy. He loves a couple of bits of fruit and a slice or two of breakfast flapjack. We have them on hand all week long. I bake two trays each weekend and that keeps him satisfied. Misteright is more of a sausage and tomato butty kind of bloke. He tends to eat it at his desk but when he’s working from home, we usually eat in front of the TV together. When it comes to my breakfast, I eat a different food every day. I like the variety of it all. Some days I will have scrambled eggs with bacon, or smoked salmon. Other days I might have a huge fruit and nut bowl with natural yogurt. It just depends on how hungry I am.
