I love this recipe for red velvet biscotti. I mean I love biscotti at the best of times, those delicious biscuit strips that sit in jars on the counter in coffee shops. Biscotti are twice baked long cookies which have a wonderful crunch to them and have a totally different texture to a regular biscuit. As biscotti are very dry, they are usually served as an accompaniment to coffee or with a glass of muscat or moscatell as an after dinner dessert
Well now you can, and these biscotti are red velvet with a decadent chocolate luxe Bailey’s drizzle on the top! If you want this recipe to be kid-friendly then just replace the chocolate luxe in the recipe for chocolate milkshake! A perfect accompaniment to a nice cup of freshly ground coffee. They have the wonderful crunch that you expect from a biscotti combined with the delicious flavours of red velvet cake, without having to actually bake one. This is a packet cake mix hack that will put a smile on the face of everyone who eats it. It’s also great to dunk these biscotti in a glass of milk too. They stay crunchy for ages and suck the milk up like a sponge. It’s really, really good!
