Star stacker Christmas tree biscuits are always a big hit with everyone who sees them. It doesn’t matter if you bake them for home, for gifts or for the office Christmas party. They can be easily adapted to suit all tastes and still have the same Christmas-sy feel to them. They look truly spectacular and are certain to get everyone talking. You can use any kind of flavouring in your biscuits to make a star stacker Christmas tree – I opted for Christmas pudding flavour drops from Cream Supplies which adds a true taste of Christmas to the biscuits. A basic gingerbread recipe also works well. It’s just a matter of which biscuit recipe you would prefer. It all goes together in the same way at the end!
Which ever biscuit recipe you do use, the end result will still look spectacular. The best advice I can give before you start is not to make your biscuits too crumbly or the star stack could literally crumble under its own weight. A huge pile of crumbs may taste delicious but it doesn’t really have the same effect as a stack of star biscuits! When it comes to wrapping them up to gift, use cellophane wrap. I buy mine from the local florists, he only charges me a few quid to buy enough to do about 10 biscuits. Gather the sides in and tie at the top with a ribbon. It really is that easy. I love to give a home made gift like this at Christmas, it’s cheaper to make something nice than to buy a gift and as someone who gifts things like this every year…
…I know how much they are loved!
