Meat Feast Pizza is a firm favourite in our house. It has a bit of something for everyone and if you make one yourself, it can be big enough to feed your whole family if you serve it up with some added extras! Making pizzas is a great way to get anyone else involved with the cooking. It’s also nice to ask people exactly which toppings they want on it too. Making your own pizzas costs less than having a takeaway and is much better for you than a frozen one! Pizza is really easy to make and it’s great fun too. Pizza is also a fabulous way to get extra veggies into fussy kids! This is great accompanied by my home made garlic bread
I love making pizza in the kitchen, it reminds me of an Italian restaurant I used to go to when I was younger. I was always amazed when the chefs span the dough in the air to make the pizza bases. I’m still practising my dough tossing technique but it’s getting there. I can actually spin a pizza so the base comes out looking like a pizza base instead of a dough ball on the floor! It’s not so hard, just throw the dough up in the air and spin it about on your finger and the heel of your hand. Hope for the best though, I’m sure there will be plenty of times that the dough ends up on the floor. Just remember not to panic and start over again. You will get there in the end. If you just can’t get the hang of it, use a rolling pin! It works, it may not look fancy but the pizza still tastes just as good.
