At Christmas, the time for bauble and the time for buns, in excess! For me, it’s all about the baking for the whole month of December. I try and experiment with different flavours and types of food more at this time of year. I tend to make more sweet things in the run up to Christmas as we have loads of unexpected guests and it’s always nice to have a cake and a brew! I’ve been experimenting with some ingredients from Bakers Toolkit. Their food colouring gel is amazing and what better way to showcase it than a plate filled with multicoloured buns as bright as baubles on Christmas trees. Hence the name Christmas Bauble Buns! Leave to cool on a wire rack and ice if desired or just leave them plain.
You can top them with edible glitter for a more festive sparkle
