Spaghetti Bolognese is a firm favourite in most households, mine is no exception. As I’m part Maltese, I obviously have a family recipe for bolognese. It’s not a traditional Italian recipe but it has been passed down to me from my Late Grandfathers side of the family on my Fathers side. He taught it to my Father who made it every Wednesday when I went for dinner and piano lessons round his house. I watched my Father make this and adapted it to be more flavoursome and a little more practical for feeding lots of people. Mince can be expensive if you buy the best kind, and value can be sloppy – so adapting this recipe, for me it was a no-brainer! Bolognese is another great chuck it all in a pan and leave it recipe, you just need to soften the veg and brown the minces & pancetta first.
This recipe will serve 6-8 people with garlic bread & side salad OR 4 people with massive appetites and no sides!
[yumprint-recipe id=’36’]This recipe is simple, it’s delicious and it’s another of my lazy kitchen favourites! It takes around 10 minutes to prepare and then can be left alone to cook leaving you some free time to do something else!
